The lessons from AMP’s origins

BCCM CEO Melina Morrison was interviewed for the Leadership section of The Australian Financial Review by Deputy Editor of AFR BOSS Magazine, Patrick Durkin.

In the interview, Melina is quoted as saying, “When AMP was a mutual, its single purpose was to benefit the members by investing money and delivering returns to them. Now it has to deliver on its promise to shareholders, too. And the incentive structure in listed entities tracks the share price, not customer returns.”
