He has been collaborating with BCCM for several years and notably led the CoOpConnect project that identified practical recommendations on fostering collaboration\, innovation and entrepreneurship for the sector. \nEmmanuel has managed many consulting and research projects of applied and fundamental research about innovation and innovative networks for companies\, public agencies\, precincts and specific industries. \nEmmanuel is the co-founder of a start-up based on shared IP with University of Geneva\, Self-Leadership Lab\, which successfully operates in Switzerland. Emmanuel was formerly founder and Director of the Centre for Business and Social Innovation at UTS. SUMMARY:An Introduction to Co-operatives and Mutuals
DESCRIPTION:This unique program has been developed to provide foundational information about co-operatives and mutuals for your employees. \nDeveloped especially as an easy and affordable induction training for new employees\, this industry developed course is relevant for staff at all levels to ensure a consistent level of knowledge across the co-operative and mutual enterprise (CME) sector. \nIt is designed to ensure CME employers can provide an introductory overview of the business model and the CME sector to new and existing staff. \nThe key objective is to educate and to inspire people working in the sector to understand more about the unique role and contribution of co-operatives and mutuals to help them in their role in their CME\, whether frontline staff\, management or directors. It will help build a meaningful connection between the employee and the wider CME sector\, as well strengthening the relationship with their individual employer. \nThis is achieved through a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles which underpin CMEs as businesses that put purpose\, people\, and communities at the heart of the enterprise. \nIt is delivered in a live and interactive webinar structure with a unique live Q&A with a sector leader. DESCRIPTION:CICOPA invites to you join its upcoming webinar in collaboration with CICOPA Asia-Pacific on the 28 September 2022.   \nThe collaboration between worker cooperatives and trade unions is a topic of great interest for CICOPA and its members. After some internal discussions on that topic\, CICOPA\, in collaboration with CICOPA Asia-pacific\, decided to enlarge the discussion to a wider audience\, with a specific focus on the Asia-Pacific region.  \nOn the 28 of September 2022\, CICOPA\, with the close collaboration of the recently established network of CICOPA Asia-Pacific\, will be organizing the webinar “Worker Cooperatives and Trade Unions: Exploring Relations in the Asia-Pacific Region”.  \nDuring this two-hour webinar\, we will share the experience of four countries: India\, Japan\, Australia\, and the Philippines\, and explore how worker cooperatives and trade unions could cooperate with each other in order to protect workers’ rights (especially in vulnerable situations)\, and to empower them (e.g. women\, elderly persons\, persons with disabilities\, migrant workers\, informal workers\, gig workers) to name a few.  \nParticularly\, we are honored with the participation of Ms. Sharan Burrow\, General Secretary of International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and Ms. Simel Esim\, Head of the Cooperative Unit of ILO.
