UK Government offers tax relief for employee ownership

Following on from the Nuttall Review (Sharing Success: The Nuttall Review of Employee Ownership), the UK Government has introduced two tax reliefs to encourage, promote and support collective employee ownership. The HM Treasury consultation launched on 4 July 2013 (Employee Ownership Day) outlines the Government’s support for an alternative form of employee ownership, namely, the ownership of shares on behalf of employees.
