RAC Executive General Manager Pat Walker said the RAC is committed to helping people with limited mobility or a disability move around their community.

“As a mutual, RAC reinvests its profits to benefit members and the wider Western Australian community. The Wheels2go membership really has value for the community and as Western Australian organisation it is something we are proud to offer,” Mr Walker said.

“In the past year, the RAC has been called out to nearly 270 mobility device breakdowns, with the most common problems being related to tyres and batteries.”

The membership provides 24/7 roadside assistance for members in a mobility device such as a manual or electric wheelchair.

The RAC marked the International Day of People with a Disability, December 3, by supporting the National Disability Services WA event. The International Day of People with a Disability is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to raise awareness and celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with a disability.
