Three BCCM members featured in Top 10 of IBISWorld company list

Today, IBISWorld together with The Australian have released Australia’s top performing private companies by revenue. Prepared by IBISWorld’s team of analysts, the list shows a number of BCCM members have been placed highly on the list.

WA based co-operative grain handler CBH Group is second in the list rising two places from last year, with revenues of $4.12 billion. Another BCCM member makes the top five, with Devondale Murray Goulburn placed at at number five with revenues of $2.99 billion.

Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, HCF makes it into the top 10 with revenues of $2.51 billion reflecting ninth position on the list. In addition, a number of other BCCM members made the top 100 with Australian Unity (22), RACQ (38), RAC WA (61) and NRMA (86) all featuring. Other co-operatives including Norco Co-op, HBF and CUA also featured.

To compile the list, IBISWorld gathered data through primary research, company reports lodged with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, and its own appraisals of company revenue based on historic data and industry analysis. Australia’s largest private companies generated $296 billion in revenue and employed more than 440,000 people according to the list.
