Australia’s First Co-operative Brewery Launches in Sydney

16 December 2016

Hopsters, the first co-operative brewery in Australia, has launched in time for Christmas.

Co-founder and director Marco Vargas said “the Hopsters vision is a brewery owned by its members where everyone has a stake and a voice.”

Vargas hopes the brewery will unite and educate people with diverse interests in fine quality craft beer.

Hopsters is a for-profit co-operative and will aim to distribute dividends to its members.

Anyone living in New South Wales can now become a member of the brewery for $250.
