Co-operatives Research Group seminar

The Co-operatives Research Group will be holding a seminar on Monday 14 December 2015 at The University of Sydney from 1-2 pm.

Jeremy Fisher, Principal of Kingfisher Law, wwwill speak on, “Not a level playing field: Co-operatives Law and Corporations Law” . The Senate Economics Reference Committee inquiry into co-operatives and mutuals,  currently underway, has highlighted the legal disadvantages that co-operatives face compared to corporations for example in terms of registration.

The Co-operatives Research Group provides a forum for research into and teaching about all forms of mutual organisations, including; consumer, social, worker, finance, producer co-operatives and other membership based democratic organisations.
