The BCCM champions leadership as service to the co-operative and mutual sector and this was recognised at the annual Taste of Australia Industry Dinner, which was held in the Auditorium at Adelaide Town Hall. It was a night of fine dining, celebrating South Australian co-operative produce with guest speaker Dr Rebecca Huntley and the ABC’s Hamish Macdonald as master of ceremonies.

BCCM CEO Melina Morrison announced the outstanding service of our sector’s retiring or outgoing leaders with induction to the BCCM Honour Roll and presentation of a handcrafted BCCM pin.

“The BCCM Honour Roll acknowledges inductees’ outstanding service and commitment to our sector as a whole, rather than to one particular organisation,” said Ms Morrison. “The BCCM represents every industry in Australia, and while our 2018 Honour Roll inductees are from diverse industries, they are united by the tireless work they have performed to advance Australia’s co-operatives and mutuals.”

Congratulations to the newest inductees to the BCCM’s Honour Roll:

  • Greg Wall – Group CEO, Capricorn
  • Michael Pilbrow – Founding Director, National Health Co-op
  • Nigel Alexander – Director, RACQ
  • Peter Whitelaw – Chairman, QTMB (RACQ)
  • Rob Goaley – Chairman, HCF
  • Karren Walker – Chairman, Common Equity Housing Limited (CEHL)
  • Rod Geer – Former CEO, Hospitality Employers Mutual (EML)
  • Terry Agnew – CEO, RAC WA
