18 March 2024 - 21 March 2024
Join one of four free regional workshops to discover how the co-operative model has been successfully used in regional communities to create and retain important local services such as the supermarket, pub and even aged care.
Supported by CBH Group through the Business Council of Co-operative and Mutuals (BCCM)’s Bunya Fund and delivered by Peter Kenyon from Bank of I.D.E.A.S., the workshops explore the power of the co-operative model and its potential application in regional communities.
The half-day workshops will explore rejuvenating our regional communities through the proven power of community ownership and enterprise. The sessions will highlight the benefits of the co-operative model and are practically designed to help you to streamline the process of founding and expanding a co-operative. You’ll learn how to uncover community enterprise opportunities, enhance community awareness, effectively recruit members, successfully harness local investment, and identify the essential factors for success. Participants will gain practical strategies and be inspired by real-life examples where local businesses and services like the pub, supermarket and aged care have been saved or returned to communities.
