The BCCM CEO Strategy Roundtable is a Chatham House forum for chief executives of BCCM member organisations. The Roundtable examines the economic outlook as it impacts our businesses, strategic risks and opportunities and the policy and market settings shaping the success of member-owned businesses.
The Roundtable also includes the annual launch of the National Mutual Economy Report, providing an evidence-based ‘state of the sector’ update of the size, performance and impact of Australia’s co-operative and mutual economy.
2026 Roundtable theme
The Measurement Conundrum – communicating mutual value in a volatile world
Spurred by the commitment to double the size of the co-operative and mutual economy in the UK and other jurisdictions the BCCM strategy has adopted this doubling target. To achieve, this ambition needs enabling policy and a growth mindset. With effective articulation of the long term economic, social and community value of co-ops and mutuals comes greater policy influence and member engagement. We will explore the importance of communicating value in an increasingly complex investment, regulatory and policy environment.
