On 21 May, the Employee Ownership Australia & New Zealand held their 4th Annual conference. Held in Melbourne, delegates heard from leading national and international speakers. The eventclosed with the announcement of this year’s annual award winners with the Co-operative Home Care winning in the Best SME/Succession Plan category.

Co-operative Home Care was set up in 2013 and provides high quality aged, disability and respite care for families, including those with physical and multiple complex needs across Sydney. The co-operative’s purpose is to improve the quality of life for both its employees and the people they care for.

Alan Greig, EOA board member, said “Cooperative Home Care is aiming to emulate similarly structured, employee owned social care organisations in other countries which are noted for their exceptional attention to productivity, motivation, staff engagement and quality care. “

Employee Ownership Australia & New Zealand, a BCCM member, is the country’s peak body whose focus is firmly on improved productivity for economic growth, through enhanced employee engagement. Read a report of Employee Ownership Australia & New Zealand 2015 conference.
