ICA calls for comment on co-op principle guidelines

14 January 2014

The International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) is calling for comment from the international co-operative community on Guidance Notes for the co-operative principles, as part of the Blueprint for the Co-operative Decade.

The objectives of the Principles Committee in drafting the Guidance Notes are two-fold:

  • Provide guidance on the Co-operative Principles (as articulated in the Statement on the Co-operative Identity)
  • Establish the irreducible core of each Principle, and thus, of the co-operative identity

The call for participation can be read on the ICA website and comments will be received until 15 May, 2014.
