To mark International Women’s Day 2016 the global co-operative sector has released a video message from International Co-operative Alliance President, Monique Leroux, CEO of Desjardins Group.
This year’s theme is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality”. Co-operatives promote gender equality through open membership, self-help and economic participation. Co-operatives empower women to access finance and develop businesses and entrepreneurship.
