Global co-operative summit to take place in October

31 March 2016

From 11-13 October, co-operative businesses and leaders from across the world will gather for the International Summit of Co-operatives in Quebec, Canada. This is the third time the biennial event will be held.

The Summit will bring together CEOs, managers, political stakeholders, representatives of international organisations, regulators and researchers from the co-operative and mutual sector globally but also executives, entrepreneurs and individuals from other business models and backgrounds.

This year the theme of the event is Cooperatives: The Power to Act. This year’s program will cover the new socioeconomic and geopolitical realities around the world and will address the challenges faced by co-operatives and mutuals in a constantly changing economy, as well as the business opportunities that arise. Moreover, participants will be led to identify actions that could provide solutions to the development issues listed by the United Nations.
