Join UTS CBSI and BCCM for a presentation by Dr Guy Turnbull who will share his experience on the role of co-operative business models in the UK in the care industry.

Australian aged and disability care services are facing numerous workforce challenges including staff shortages, high turnover and low wages. With a revamped interest in the co-operative business model growing in Australia, now is a key time to consider the role it can play in addressing these issues in the care services industry.

Guy will discuss the role co-operative business models can play in creating an active and engaged workforce for Australian aged and disability care services. Speaking from his experience creating a co-operative care service in the UK, Care and Share Associates, Guy will share the lessons learnt and the implications this may have for Australia.

Following his address Guy will be joined by guests from the Aged Care and Co-op sectors for a panel discussion, moderated by CBSI Director Emmanuel Josserand. The guests on the panel are Robyn Kaczmarek, CEO and co-owner of The Co-operative Life, Gillian McFee, advisor to BCCM, and Melina Morrison, CEO of BCCM.
