On Wednesday, 14 June 2023, ABC Mid and North Coast’s Rural Report spoke with Simon Stahl, CEO of The Casino Food Co-op, about his key takeaways from the BCCM’s second National Agricultural Roundtable, which was held in Lismore on Thursday, 8 June 2023.
“We’re all having the same, similar challenges. And I think the big takeaway is that, you know, collaborating and working together which is part of the DNA of being a co-operative, is important for us to get scale and for us to, I guess, leverage each other and what we’re doing to improve the business. And specifically it was in terms of employee welfare and farmer welfare. That was one of the big talking points as well as sustainability. ”
