We kicked off the Summit with the Taste of Australia Industry Dinner on Thursday 20 November 2019 at the Pan Pacific Hotel Perth.
This year’s dinner celebrated the richness of Western Australia’s co‑operative produce, from the clear crystal water where rock lobsters are harvested to the flavour of the pastures where our lamb is raised. Executive Chef, Matt Lonne, created a bespoke menu for guests to savour the best that WA has to offer. The ILG Gin bar was as popular as ever.
A night of fine dining and guest speakers to celebrate our 2019 Award Honour Roll inductees. Television Presenter and Chef, Anna Gare, kept us entertained as MC. Jimmy Wilson, CEO, CBH Group welcomed guests. The Hon Michael Sukkar MP, Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Housing provided the Opening Remarks outlining the Federal Government’s broad support for the CME sector. The Hon Alannah Mactiernan MLC, Minister for Regional Development; Agriculture and Food spoke on the Influence of WA’s Agriculture co-ops. Peter van Onselen, journalist with Network Ten and The Australian, concluded the evening as the After Dinner Speaker.
