First activities announced for Co-operative Farming program

21 February 2020

Last year the Government announced that BCCM would receive $2.5 million and Southern Cross University $500,000 to help farmers, fishers and foresters establish and grow farm co-ops and other collaborative business models that can boost farm gate returns.

With natural disasters impacting large parts of Australia, co-operation has an important role to play in strengthening farm business sustainability and resilience.

The first activities to be rolled out through the Co-operative Farming – future proofing Aussie farmers program between March and May 2020 include:

  • Farm Co-op Advice and Information Hotline
  • Farm Co-op Mentoring Program
  • Education bursaries program

If you are a primary producer or producer-owned enterprise, fill out our Expression of Interest form to get updates on Advice, Education, Mentoring and other opportunities that will be available through the Co-operative Farming – future proofing Aussie farmers program.
