Join the movement – BCCM IYC 2025 campaign and activities

13 December 2024

Monday marked an exciting milestone for the BCCM and Australia’s co-operative and mutual movement with the launch of our campaign and website celebrating the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives 2025.

At the heart of this is the BCCM Icons campaign – a year-long social media and online campaign celebrating and sharing the achievements and impact of co-ops and mutuals like yours. Throughout the year we will showcase the extraordinary people and organisations that embody the co-operative and mutual spirit in Australia.

Through social media platforms and the IYC 2025 Australia website, we’ll share your stories of innovation, resilience, community impact and your origin story. This is more than a campaign – it’s a movement to position Australia as a global leader in advancing co-operative solutions to today’s challenges through the power of storytelling.

We need your involvement to make the Icons campaign a success by sharing your great stories of impact and service to members throughout the year. You can share as many compelling stories as you wish.

Three steps to join the IYC 2025 campaign:

  1. Share your stories
Showcase your organisation’s leadership and the difference you make to your members and communities.

  2. Follow and amplify the campaign
Join the conversation by following the Icons campaign across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  3. Plan your IYC 2025 celebration
Any events or activities you plan to celebrate IYC 2025 please share them with us for inclusion in our interactive calendar.

BCCM iconic events

We have a number of flagship IYC theme events planned throughout 2025. Visit the events page to save the dates for our CEO Forum, Summit, Dinners and Icon Breakfast events.

If you missed the launch on Monday, you can watch the launch webinar recording to find out more.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to our efforts in 2025 to amplify our voice and visibility through compelling and inspiring stories.
