A new date farming co-operative, based in central Australia, is preparing for its first harvest.

The Tamara Plantation is located about 60 kilometres east of Alice Springs near Deep Well Station.

The co-operative formed in September, after the plantation’s owner Dave Berrick began looking for interested people to help out on the farm.
