NRMA appoint Rohan Lund as their Group CEO

18 November 2015

The National Roads & Motorists’ Association has today announced the appointment of Rohan Lund as Group CEO, to commence in the role Wednesday 27 January 2015.

Mr Lund will join the NRMA, a BCCM member, after having worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Foxtel and previous roles with Seven Media including the former CEO of Yahoo7, and Strategy Director at Optus. The position became available after former Group CEO Tony Stuart resigned in May.

NRMA President Kyle Loades said Mr Lund’s appointment is well-timed with the NRMA’s current three-year strategy coming to an end.

“The NRMA is in a great place to grow and evolve and we are in no doubt that Rohan Lund’s leadership will help take us there.

Mr Lund has had extensive experience using innovation to change businesses for the better and we are excited about working with Rohan to achieve the same outcomes for our much-loved Member-owned organisation.”

Congratulating the NRMA and Mr Lund on the appointment, BCCM CEO, Melina Morrison said:

“Customer owned businesses are experiencing a strong period of growth for the past 24 months as shown in the BCCM’s 2015 National Mutual Economy Report with a 14% year-on-year increase in combined annual turnover for the Top 100 Australian co-operative and mutual enterprises (CMEs).

Customer owned banking is another sector showing strong growth as KPMG’s Mutuals Industry Review 2015 has shown. The appointment of Mr Lund with his experience in communications and customer service is fitting, given it is an inherent and unique advantage of businesses owned by their customers.”

NRMA is Australia’s largest member-owned organisation providing roadside assistance, car rental, travel and accommodation, car servicing and safer driving services.
