Welcome to BCCM Icons

Join us in celebrating the inspiring stories, achievements and impact of Australian co-operatives and mutuals through the BCCM Icons campaign, which will run throughout the International Year of Cooperatives 2025. This year-long initiative shines a spotlight on icons that embody the co-operative spirit and demonstrate how working together can build a better world. Through social media and our website, we showcase how these member-driven organizations drive social and economic impact both locally and globally, offering tangible solutions to today’s challenges.

The BCCM Icons campaign is a global effort across various social media platforms, including InstagramFacebook and LinkedIn, and the IYC 2025 Australia and stories.coop websites. We encourage active participation from all stakeholders, including members, partners and supporters, to help amplify the reach and impact of the campaign.

We are seeking stories that highlight the past, present and future of co-operatives and mutuals in Australia, as well as origin stories that showcase the depth and impact of these organisations. Visual elements play a crucial role in driving these narratives forward, so we encourage submissions that are visually engaging and compelling.

To get involved, simply follow the steps outlined on our website to submit your icon story. We welcome multiple entries and encourage you to share your co-op’s unique journey and impact. Together, let’s celebrate the co-operative and mutual movement in Australia and beyond, and work towards shaping a brighter future for all. Share your story today and be part of this collective effort to advance the co-operative model.
