CEDA event looks at role of co-operatives and mutuals in critical services

The Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) yesterday held a panel event in Melbourne to explore insights from its new Connecting people with progress report and discuss the importance of critical services including health and human services.

BCCM CEO Melina Morrison featured alongside Melinda Cilento (CEDA CEO), James van Smeerdijk and Rob Hulls on the event panel.

Ms Morrison said there was a co-operative revival in health and human services underway, with examples of both consumer-owned and employee-owned models emerging in sectors such as primary health, disability housing, aged care and disability employment.

Connecting people with progress features an article from the BCCM on co-operative health and human service delivery.
