07 May 2015

Sendle.com, Australia’s first carbon neutral parcel delivery service has acquired $1.8 million in funding from various investors to expand its service and reach, including from the NRMA (a BCCM member). The NRMA’s Group CEO, Tony Stuart said the decision by the mutual to invest in the company was through the benefits to its members of cheaper, more convenient with point to point pick-up and delivery.

Sendle.com can deliver 10kg in the same capital city door-to-door for less than $10, offsetting the emissions for each package. Such investments show how mutuals are impact investors in the area of social innovation.
