Norco leads on domestic violence leave

11 December 2016

BCCM member Norco will be one of the first regional manufacturers to introduce domestic violence leave for employees.

Employees will now have access to three days paid domestic violence leave.

CEO Brett Kelly emphasised the need to have an environment where people could feel safe and to be an employer that really cares.

Tim Ayres, Secretary of the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union, which helped negotiate the deal, said the move “sends a leadership message across the community that domestic violence is not acceptable.”

The Lismore-based dairy co-operative employs hundreds of people.
