Small grants for bushfire impacted communities

26 May 2020

The Australian Mutuals Foundation (AMF), in partnership with the Business Council of Cooperatives and Mutuals (BCCM) is offering small grants to assist co-operatives and mutuals and members of these organisations to help their communities to recover from the impact of the bushfires and coronavirus.

Local charities and community groups that work with your cooperative in affected communities are also eligible to apply for funding.

The funding has been donated by co-operatives around the world guided by their commitment to Co-operative Principles of “Co-operation among co-operatives” and “Concern for Community”.

To apply please complete this online form.

Application Process

  1. Complete the online application form. Applications will open from 9:00am on Wednesday, 27 May 2020 and close at 5:00pm (AEST) on Wednesday, 1 July 2020.
  2. The selection process will be completed by Monday 6 July 2020 with provisionally approved grant recipients to be contacted by Friday 10 July 2020.
  3. Grants will be paid into nominated recipient bank accounts as soon possible after notification of approval of grant.

The AMF and BCCM selection panel retains the exclusive right to decide which applications it selects and approves. All decisions will be final. A simple grant agreement will be entered into between AMF and each grant recipient. Only one grant will be available to any one business and business owner. AMF and BCCM will share publicly, and with our generous donors how some grant recipients use their funds by asking grant recipients to provide us with a case study showing how they used the money.

Please direct any queries to The Manager, Australian Mutuals Foundation.
