02 February 2024

The Australian government has released a summary report of what they heard in the consultation on the new National Housing and Homelessness Plan.

The BCCM co-ordinated a submission from the housing co-operative and community-led housing sectors to this consultation.

We are pleased to see that the government has included the recommendations to “encourage community-led housing co-ops and developments” and that “government laws and support are needed to help increase community-led and co-op housing projects.”
