Distributing Co-operative

This Co-op Builder will guide you to draft a constitution and a disclosure statement for a distributing co-operative.

Distributing co-operatives have share capital and can deliver services to members and share profits with members.

You will learn about each document as you design your co-op through the Co-op Builder.

Have you chosen the right co-operative type? If you are uncertain, download How to choose your co-op type.

Before you begin, make sure you have your business plan handy. For more information, download Business planning for co-ops.

If you are part-way through an incomplete document, clicking ‘Get Started’ takes you back to where you left off.

You must draft the constitution first and then the disclosure statement.

The drafting tool creates a MS Word format document. This format allows you to make changes and add attachments during drafting, or if required by the Registrar.

Please note: The Co-op Builder tool will not accommodate formatting for paragraphs, lists and tables. Information inserted in text boxes will lose any format. When you download your constitution and disclosure documents and check it for accuracy you will need to adjust any required formatting. If you intend to insert a table then you can insert after downloading.
