Governments should look to use co-operatives and mutuals to provide much-needed public services such as child and aged care as well as transport and housing, the head of the country’s largest co-operative has said.
Andrew Crane, chief executive of the nation’s largest grain handler CBH Group, made the comments during the launch yesterday of a new national business council for the sector.
