Emerging Coffee Co-op mentioned in SA Parliament

28 May 2014

The Co-op Coffee Shop, a worker owned co-operative set to open in Adelaide in the near future,  was spoken of in South Australian Parliament by Greens member Tammy Franks MLC.

“What is truly remarkable about the business model that the Co-Op Coffee Shop will be adopting is that they will share decision-making, authority, profits and liability subjects. The business will be democratically and equitably run to benefit all members and not be hierarchical. The members will use consensus to come to their decisions.”
